Tashi’s mother was from the Shaa region of Domkha village and ran a shop in Bajo town. On one of her visits to Thimphu town, she met with Tashi’s father, and they got married and moved to Nagaland. Unfortunately, they expired after a few years, because of which 14-year-old Tashi moved back to Bhutan. She went to attend a school in Bhutan which was named Utpal Academy in Paro. Tashi Choden moved on to compete in the competition of Miss Citadel Pune in the year 2017 and evolved out as a runner-up to Priya Singh.
